The goal of the Sustainability Working Group is to promote sustainability in teaching, operations and student groups and to help shape a sustainable university. Sustainability includes ecological, social and economic sustainability. Therefore, the Sustainability Working Group networks the various institutions at the University of Hohenheim that are concerned with sustainability. The Sustainability Working Group acts as an umbrella organization in order to have a stronger impact and to realize larger projects that individual groups would not be able to handle. Thus, we improve communication among ourselves, promote exchange and can devote ourselves to specific topics in a more focused manner. Another function of the Sustainability Working Group is to help student groups share knowledge internally and between groups. This helps to balance the cyclical nature that student groups often have due to semester times and changing members.
